Independent Exchange Program Review
7Across Review: Fees, Availability, and Exchange Value
7Across may give some timeshare owners another way to exchange their vacation time, but free basic membership does not guarantee useful inventory, a successful deposit, or a lower-cost trip.
The practical value depends on whether 7Across can accept and verify your ownership, whether its available inventory matches how you travel, and how the complete cost compares with your existing exchange and public-booking options. Exchange Weeks must also be distinguished from Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, hotels, and other travel purchased separately.

About this guidance: Timeshare Travel Club Authority’s review is based on current 7Across owner-facing materials, program disclosures, exchange terms, fee information, and experience evaluating timeshare exchange and paid travel inventory. Membership options, deposit rules, transaction fees, inventory, resort charges, and booking terms may change. Owners should verify that 7Across accepts their exact ownership, confirm how vacation time must be deposited or assigned, and review the complete cost and cancellation terms before completing a transaction.
What Is 7Across?
7Across is an independent timeshare exchange company formerly known as Dial an Exchange. Its current North American disclosure identifies 7Across as a business name used by Dial An Exchange, LLC, a subsidiary of Travel + Leisure Co.
Unlike a primary RCI or Interval International affiliation established through a developer, resort, or vacation club, 7Across generally allows vacation owners to register directly. The ownership must still be registered, verified, and eligible before vacation time can be used for an exchange.
7Across provides two main ways to complete a traditional exchange:
- Search First: The member searches available 7Across inventory before depositing eligible vacation time. Once a suitable week is selected, the member deposits the vacation time, submits the exchange request, and decides whether to accept the resulting exchange offer.
- Bank and Save: The owner deposits eligible vacation time first and receives a Deposit Credit that can be used toward an available Exchange Week later. Current North American terms generally provide three years from the deposit date to redeem the credit.
7Across also provides Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, hotel bookings, and other travel options. Those products may expand the member’s choices, but they do not necessarily follow the same deposit, payment, or exchange process as a traditional Exchange Week.
Opening a 7Across account does not guarantee that a particular ownership will be accepted or that the owner’s preferred resort and dates will become available. The practical value depends on whether the ownership qualifies, how vacation time enters the system, what inventory is available, and whether the complete transaction cost makes sense.
How It Works
How the 7Across Bank and Save Process Works
The Bank and Save option uses a deposit-first process. The owner registers and verifies the timeshare ownership, deposits eligible vacation time, receives a Deposit Credit, and later applies that credit toward an available Exchange Week.
TTCA Framework Insight: Depositing a week creates exchange credit—not a reservation at any resort the member chooses. The final trip still depends on which inventory is available through 7Across when the owner searches or submits a request.
Important Distinction
7Across Can Improve Use Value—but It Does Not Change the Timeshare
A successful 7Across exchange may help an owner get more practical use from vacation time that might otherwise go unused. It can provide access to a different destination, resort, or travel period without changing the underlying ownership.
7Across does not reduce the timeshare loan, maintenance fees, assessments, contractual obligations, or resale limitations. It also does not guarantee that future exchange inventory will match the owner’s preferred destination, dates, or accommodation.
May Improve How the Ownership Is Used
An eligible deposit may produce another vacation option when the owner cannot or does not want to use the home resort.
Does Not Change the Ongoing Commitment
Loan payments, maintenance fees, assessments, contract terms, and resale limitations remain tied to the underlying timeshare.
Before You Rely on 7Across Exchange Value
Exchange Access Only Helps If the Deposits, Availability, and Complete Cost Fit How You Travel.
7Across may provide another way to use eligible vacation time, but its practical value depends on whether your exact ownership can be deposited, whether available Exchange Weeks match your travel needs, and whether the complete trip cost remains worthwhile. Before you keep paying because another exchange option sounds valuable, the Timeshare Decision Intelligence Report™ helps organize your ownership details, annual costs, usage pattern, exchange limitations, booking concerns, and realistic decision pathways.

How 7Across Fees Affect the Exchange Value
Basic participation may not require an annual membership fee, but a confirmed exchange is not free. The owner should evaluate the exchange fee, booking flexibility, optional Gold Advantage cost, unit-size charges, resort expenses, and the underlying cost of the deposited ownership.
Fee information was reviewed in July 2026 using the current North American 7Across disclosure. Fees, membership options, benefits, cancellation terms, and destination charges may change. Confirm the current terms directly with 7Across before depositing a week or completing a transaction.
Required Annual Membership Fee
$0
The current disclosure does not require a basic membership or annual fee to participate in the standard 7Across exchange program.
Fix-It Exchange
$235
The lower-priced option is generally final and nonrefundable once confirmed. The exchange fee is charged when an available exchange is accepted and confirmed.
Flex-It Exchange
$319
Flex-It costs more but may return eligible transaction amounts to the member’s account as credits when the reservation is canceled by telephone at least 24 hours before check-in.
Gold Advantage
$105–$189
Current initiation pricing varies by tier and term. Gold benefits may include priority access and discounts, but the owner should compare the cost with how often those benefits will realistically be used.
Unit-Size Upgrade
$59–$79
A member depositing a studio or hotel unit may owe an additional fee when confirming a larger one- or two-bedroom accommodation.
Resort and Mandatory Charges
Varies
Taxes, resort fees, housekeeping, utilities, parking, security deposits, and mandatory all-inclusive charges may be payable in addition to the exchange fee.
The Booking Type Matters as Much as the Price
The fee structure explains what a confirmed 7Across exchange may cost, but it does not explain what kind of vacation the member is actually booking.
7Across currently separates its travel options into Exchange Weeks, Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, and hotel stays. These options may appear under the same membership, but they do not all use deposited timeshare value or follow the same pricing and availability rules.
Exchange Weeks vs. Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, and Hotels
A larger selection of vacations can make 7Across more useful, but owners should not treat every available stay as evidence that their deposited week has greater exchange power. The important distinction is whether the reservation uses a Deposit Credit or is purchased separately.
Exchange Weeks
Exchange Weeks are the core timeshare-exchange product. The owner deposits eligible vacation time, receives a Deposit Credit, and uses that credit toward an available week in the 7Across exchange inventory.
The member still pays the applicable exchange fee and any mandatory resort or destination charges. Availability depends on inventory that has actually entered the 7Across exchange pool—not every resort shown in the broader directory.
Bonus Weeks
Bonus Weeks are generally short-notice resort stays purchased with cash rather than a Deposit Credit. Current 7Across availability materials indicate that these stays are commonly offered within six months of check-in.
A Bonus Week may still provide worthwhile resort access, especially when the owner wants an additional trip without depositing another week. However, the relevant comparison is the complete cash price versus a similar public reservation—not the trading value of the timeshare.
Some individual listings may provide more than one booking path, including the option to use exchange value instead of paying the advertised Bonus Week price. The member should therefore review the transaction details before confirming.
Rental Weeks
Rental Weeks are separately priced resort stays that do not require a timeshare deposit. 7Across currently promotes three-, five-, and seven-night rental options in timeshare and non-timeshare accommodations.
These stays can add flexibility when the owner wants a shorter trip, an additional vacation, or a destination that is not available through exchange. Their value should be judged by the full rental price, cancellation terms, unit details, and mandatory property charges.
Hotel Bookings
7Across Travel provides nightly hotel inventory through a separate commercial booking channel. This can expand access to cities, shorter stays, and destinations with limited timeshare supply.
Hotel inventory generally functions as a separate commercial booking path rather than a standard week-for-week exchange. Depending on the individual transaction, the booking may require cash, fees, a Deposit Credit, or a combination of them.
The member should review the exact payment method, total price, cancellation policy, room conditions, loyalty benefits, and support terms before comparing the stay with a direct or third-party reservation.
The practical takeaway is that more travel options do not necessarily mean more exchange availability. Exchange Weeks reflect inventory available through the deposited-week system. Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, and hotels may broaden the membership because they provide separate ways to purchase travel.
Why Owners Can Have Very Different Experiences With 7Across
Two owners can use the same exchange company and reach very different conclusions about its value. The difference often comes down to what they own, where they want to travel, how flexible they are, and whether their expectations match the inventory 7Across actually receives.
An owner may have a positive experience when:
- The deposited ownership is accepted and verified without difficulty
- The owner can travel across several dates or destinations
- The desired region regularly appears in 7Across inventory
- A custom request produces a suitable match
- The confirmed unit and complete trip cost compare favorably with other options
- The owner understands that a deposit creates exchange credit—not a guaranteed replacement vacation
Another owner may be disappointed when:
- They need one specific resort, unit size, or peak-season week
- Their preferred destination rarely receives deposits
- They expect hotel-style availability
- Their ownership cannot be deposited or verified
- Most useful options require a separate cash purchase
- Resort fees and other mandatory charges reduce the apparent savings
Flexibility can materially affect the result. Expanding the travel window, considering nearby destinations, accepting a different unit size, or placing a request rather than relying only on immediate online inventory may improve the chances of finding a match.
7Across encourages members who cannot find an immediate Exchange Week to submit a Trip Wish so the company can continue searching. That can make the request process more useful than a one-time online search, but fulfillment still depends on suitable inventory entering the system.
That does not mean every flexible request will be filled. It means the visible online inventory may not show the full process available to a member. Owners who search once for exact dates and leave may have a different experience from those who submit requests early and consider alternatives.
The deposited ownership also matters, but not necessarily in the same way as a points-based trading-power system. 7Across promotes a straightforward one-week-for-one-week model, yet the ownership must still be eligible, accepted, and verified before it can create a Deposit Credit.
Owner reviews should therefore be interpreted in context. A successful exchange into a flexible destination does not prove that another member will obtain a high-demand holiday week. A failed search for one exact resort also does not prove that the program has no useful inventory.
The most meaningful review is whether 7Across consistently produces vacations that fit the individual owner’s travel pattern at a complete cost they consider worthwhile.
7Across Value Check
When 7Across Is Worth It—and When It May Not Be
7Across may provide meaningful value for some owners and very little for others. The result usually depends on whether the ownership can be used, how flexible the member can be, what inventory becomes available, and whether the complete trip cost compares favorably with other options. Select a card to expand it.
Worth It: Your Ownership Is Accepted
The program can only create exchange value when eligible vacation
time can be registered, verified, and deposited.
Worth It: Your Ownership Is Accepted
7Across may provide another useful exchange pathway when the company accepts the owner’s exact resort, week, season, unit, or reservation and the deposit process works without unnecessary difficulty.
If the ownership cannot be verified or deposited, free account access may provide browsing and paid travel options but little practical traditional-exchange value.
Worth It: You Can Travel Flexibly
Flexible dates, destinations, resorts, seasons, and unit sizes can
improve the chances of finding a suitable exchange.
Worth It: You Can Travel Flexibly
Owners who can consider several destinations, wider travel windows, nearby resorts, or shoulder-season trips may have more options than owners seeking one exact vacation.
Flexibility does not create inventory, but it gives the member more opportunities to use inventory that does enter the system.
Worth It: The Complete Trip Cost Makes Sense
The clearest value comes when the confirmed stay compares favorably
with an equivalent public reservation.
Worth It: The Complete Trip Cost Makes Sense
A 7Across exchange may provide value when the allocated ownership cost, exchange fee, resort charges, taxes, and other required expenses remain reasonable for the unit and destination received.
A larger accommodation or difficult destination may justify a higher total than a standard hotel room, but the comparison should use a genuinely similar trip.
May Not Be Worth It: You Need One Exact Trip
Exchange is less predictable when value depends on one resort, unit
size, destination, or peak-season week.
May Not Be Worth It: You Need One Exact Trip
High-demand beach weeks, holiday periods, school-break dates, ski destinations, and larger units may attract more requests than available deposits.
If 7Across only makes sense when it confirms one difficult vacation, the program may not be reliable enough to serve as the owner’s main travel strategy.
May Not Be Worth It: The Best Options Require Cash
Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, and hotels may be useful, but they change
the value calculation.
May Not Be Worth It: The Best Options Require Cash
A member may see appealing vacations that are available only as separately purchased travel rather than as Exchange Weeks using a Deposit Credit.
Cash inventory can add flexibility, but it should be compared with public pricing and should not be treated as proof that the deposited ownership has stronger exchange value.
May Not Be Worth It: Costs Keep Adding Up
Exchange fees, optional benefits, unit upgrades, resort charges, and
ownership expenses can reduce the apparent savings.
May Not Be Worth It: Costs Keep Adding Up
Basic membership may not require an annual fee, but the transaction can still include an exchange fee, Gold Advantage cost, unit-size charge, taxes, housekeeping, all-inclusive fees, parking, or other mandatory expenses.
When those expenses are added to the cost of maintaining the deposited ownership, the final trip may no longer compare favorably with another exchange or a direct booking.
How Should You Interpret 7Across Reviews and Complaints?
Online feedback about 7Across is limited and leans negative on complaint-oriented review platforms. As of July 2026, Trustpilot displayed a 2.0 rating from 16 reviews. That deserves attention, but the sample is too small to represent every 7Across member. Trustpilot also identifies the profile as unclaimed and states that the company has not invited customers to submit reviews, which can produce a more complaint-heavy sample.
Several concerns appear repeatedly.
Limited Exchange Availability
Some reviewers report holding deposited weeks while finding few suitable exchanges, particularly for specific destinations, seasons, or resorts. Others say that paid rental inventory appears easier to find than Exchange Weeks using deposited value.
This does not prove that 7Across has no useful inventory. It does show why owners should investigate realistic destinations and travel windows before depositing a valuable week.
Match Requests and Timing
Some members describe receiving a potential match only to discover that it was no longer available when they responded. A match notification is not the same as a confirmed reservation, and owners should understand how quickly they must act when inventory becomes available.
7Across directs members who cannot find an immediate Exchange Week to submit a Trip Wish so the company can continue searching. That may improve the process for flexible owners, but fulfillment still depends on inventory entering the system.
Gold Advantage and Added Costs
Reviewers also question whether Gold Advantage, extension charges, exchange fees, or other optional costs produce enough additional value. Paying for priority or discounts does not create inventory that the program does not have.
Service and Cancellation Disputes
Some complaints involve weekend support, accommodation problems, cancellation expectations, and confusion over what the selected booking option protects. These concerns make it important to compare Fix-It and Flex-It terms before paying.
Not every complaint attributed to 7Across necessarily involves an exchange booked directly through the company. Some reviews appear connected to an underlying resort, vacation-club seller, promotional package, or affiliated business. Owners should identify which company collected the payment and which organization controlled the disputed service.
Reviews are most useful when the reviewer’s circumstances resemble your own. Consider what they deposited, where and when they wanted to travel, whether they booked an Exchange Week or paid stay, and how flexible they were.
Treat reviews as evidence of where friction may occur—not as a substitute for verifying your own eligibility, likely availability, costs, and transaction terms.
Can You Use 7Across Alongside RCI or Interval International?
An owner may be able to maintain access to 7Across while also belonging to RCI or Interval International. The programs remain separate, with their own inventory, deposits, fees, credits, and reservation systems.
The key restriction applies to the specific vacation time being deposited. One week, reservation, or annual use right cannot be committed to multiple exchange companies at the same time.
An owner with several independently usable weeks may be able to deposit one with 7Across and another with RCI or Interval. An owner with only one annual week usually must decide which eligible exchange pathway will receive that year’s vacation time.
The underlying resort or vacation club also matters. Some ownerships are primarily affiliated with RCI, others with Interval International, and some provide additional exchange routes. Registering with 7Across does not override those ownership rules or guarantee that 7Across will accept a particular week.
7Across currently requires a timeshare ownership to be registered and verified before the member can complete Exchange, Bonus, Rental, or 7Across Travel transactions.
The programs also do not share one combined inventory pool. The same resort may appear in several exchange directories, but the weeks available through each company depend on inventory entering that individual system.
Using multiple exchange companies can broaden an owner’s options, but it does not combine their deposits, credits, or availability. Each eligible week must be committed and evaluated within one system.
Owner Risk
Do Not Deposit Vacation Time Until You Understand What You Are Giving Up
Under the Bank and Save process, eligible vacation time is deposited into the 7Across exchange pool and replaced with a Deposit Credit. Owners should treat that vacation time as committed to 7Across rather than assume it remains available for home-resort use or deposit with another exchange company.
Verify the ownership, deposit requirements, realistic availability, credit expiration, fees, and cancellation terms before proceeding. The risk is greater when an owner deposits first and investigates later, assumes a resort directory represents bookable inventory, or selects Fix-It without understanding that a cancellation can result in the loss of the Deposit Credit, exchange fee, and other amounts paid.
Before You Deposit, Turn the Review Into a Verification Process
By this point, the decision should be less about whether 7Across sounds appealing and more about whether the program works with the owner’s exact timeshare, travel pattern, and budget.
A brief verification process before depositing or paying can prevent an owner from committing vacation time based on a resort directory, assumed availability, or an incomplete estimate of the trip cost.
Action Step
Verify 7Across Before You Deposit a Week or Pay a Fee
Treat the program as a verification process rather than assuming that registration, a resort listing, or free basic membership will produce a useful exchange. Confirm how your exact ownership can be used, what the transaction will cost, and what may be lost before committing vacation time.
Confirm that your exact ownership is eligible by providing the resort, ownership type, unit, season, use year, and reservation details needed for verification.
Request the deposit requirements in writing, including documentation, resort confirmation, timing rules, late-deposit charges, and when the Deposit Credit becomes usable.
Test realistic travel searches using several destinations, date ranges, seasons, and unit sizes that reflect how you would actually use the program.
Separate Exchange Weeks from paid inventory so you know whether an appealing stay uses a Deposit Credit or requires a separate Bonus Week, Rental Week, or hotel payment.
Calculate the complete trip cost, including the allocated ownership expense, exchange fee, optional upgrades, taxes, resort charges, and mandatory destination fees.
Compare Fix-It and Flex-It carefully, including cancellation deadlines, returned credits, expiration rules, and what may be forfeited after confirmation.
Quick Win
Choose two realistic destinations and two acceptable travel windows before depositing. Ask whether comparable Exchange Weeks have recently appeared and what steps are required to place a request. This provides a more useful test than relying on the resort directory alone.
Owner Takeaway
7Across Is an Additional Exchange Tool—not a Guarantee of Better Availability
7Across may provide useful value when an owner can deposit eligible vacation time, travel flexibly, and confirm an Exchange Week at a complete cost that compares favorably with other options. Free basic membership does not guarantee that the ownership will be accepted, that preferred inventory will appear, or that every vacation shown uses deposited timeshare value. Verify the deposit pathway, distinguish exchange inventory from paid travel, and calculate the full trip cost before committing a week.
Frequently Asked Questions About 7Across
These answers address common questions about 7Across membership, deposits, Deposit Credits, cancellation options, Gold Advantage, and the difference between exchange and separately purchased travel. Current fees and program terms should be confirmed before completing a transaction.
Is 7Across free to join?
7Across currently does not require an annual fee for basic membership in North America. However, a confirmed exchange still requires an exchange fee, and optional services such as Gold Advantage, unit upgrades, booking flexibility, or credit extensions may add costs. Resort fees, taxes, and mandatory destination charges may also apply.
Do I have to deposit a timeshare week before using 7Across?
A Deposit Credit is required to book a traditional Exchange Week. Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, and hotel stays are generally purchased separately and do not use a Deposit Credit.
However, 7Across currently requires the member’s timeshare ownership to be registered and verified before completing travel transactions through the program.
How long does a 7Across Deposit Credit remain valid?
Current North American program materials generally provide three years from the deposit date to use a standard Deposit Credit. Different terms may apply to extensions, promotional credits, late deposits, or other transaction types, so confirm the expiration date shown in the account before depositing.
Can I cancel a 7Across exchange?
The outcome depends on whether the member selected Fix-It or Flex-It. Fix-It is the lower-cost, more restrictive option and can result in the loss of the Deposit Credit and amounts paid after cancellation.
Flex-It costs more but may return eligible credits and transaction amounts to the account when the stated cancellation process and deadline are followed.
Is Gold Advantage required to use 7Across?
No. Gold Advantage is an optional paid membership enhancement rather than a requirement for basic participation. It may provide benefits such as priority access or transaction discounts, but owners should compare the added cost with how often they are likely to exchange and whether the benefits materially improve their results.
Bottom Line
7Across can be a useful additional exchange option for owners whose vacation time is accepted, who can travel flexibly, and who find Exchange Weeks that justify the complete cost.
Its free basic membership lowers the barrier to exploring the program, but it does not guarantee deposit eligibility, desirable availability, or a lower-cost vacation. Owners should distinguish traditional exchanges from separately purchased Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, and hotel inventory, then compare the full transaction cost with other exchange and direct-booking options.
The strongest reason to use 7Across is not simply that another exchange company is available. It is that the program consistently turns eligible ownership value into vacations that fit the owner’s travel needs, budget, and expectations.
