Independent Exchange Program Review
7Across Review: Fees, Availability, Exchange Value & Who It Fits
7Across can give eligible timeshare owners another exchange option without a basic annual membership fee, but its value depends on what you can deposit, what inventory becomes available, and what the complete trip actually costs.
The decision: Does 7Across add a useful exchange pathway for the way you travel, or do availability, transaction costs, and booking rules make another exchange or direct booking more practical?
TTCA reviewed current 7Across owner-facing materials, the North American exchange disclosure and terms, current fee information, booking and cancellation rules, and publicly available owner-review patterns. Fees, benefits, availability, and program terms can change, so verify current details before depositing vacation time or paying for an exchange.

7Across offers several travel paths, but only Exchange Weeks use deposited timeshare value. Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, and hotel stays are separate cash-based options.
Quick Answer
Is 7Across Worth It?
7Across may be worthwhile for flexible owners whose timeshare can be accepted for deposit and who can find useful Exchange Weeks at a total cost that compares favorably with another exchange or a similar public booking.
Free basic membership lowers the cost of exploring the program, but it does not guarantee that your ownership will be accepted, that the resort or dates you want will appear, or that the final trip will be inexpensive.
What is 7Across?
7Across is an independent timeshare exchange program that allows eligible owners to deposit qualifying vacation time and use the resulting Deposit Credit toward available Exchange Weeks.
It also offers Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, hotel bookings, and optional Gold Advantage benefits. Those additional travel products should not automatically be treated as evidence of stronger traditional exchange inventory.
Program Overview
What Is 7Across?
7Across is the current business name used by Dial An Exchange, LLC. Its North American disclosure identifies the company as an independent exchange company and an ultimate subsidiary of Travel + Leisure Co.
Unlike an exchange relationship that is built directly into a developer or resort membership, 7Across generally offers its exchange program directly to vacation owners. Your exact ownership still has to be registered, verified, and eligible before it can create traditional exchange value.
The program can be used by owners who also belong to another exchange company, but each specific vacation period or use right must be handled according to the rules of the exchange program receiving it.
How It Works
How the 7Across Exchange Process Works
- Register the ownership: add the timeshare or qualifying vacation ownership to the 7Across account.
- Verify eligibility: the ownership and vacation time must satisfy 7Across requirements before it can be used for a traditional exchange.
- Choose how to proceed: use Search First or Bank and Save, depending on whether you want to look for inventory before depositing.
- Deposit eligible vacation time: an accepted deposit creates a Deposit Credit for future exchange use.
- Search or place a request: choose from available inventory or request a future match.
- Confirm the Exchange Week: use the Deposit Credit and pay the applicable exchange fee and any other required charges.
Two Exchange Paths
Search First vs. Bank and Save
Search First
Search available 7Across inventory before committing eligible vacation time. If a suitable option is identified, the owner deposits the week, submits the exchange request, and decides whether to accept the resulting offer.
- Lets you investigate available inventory before depositing
- May reduce the risk of banking a week without seeing a useful option first
- Still depends on verification, availability, and final confirmation
Bank and Save
Deposit eligible vacation time first and receive a Deposit Credit. Under the current North American terms, the standard Deposit Credit can generally be used within three years of the deposit date.
- Commits the eligible vacation time before the final trip is chosen
- Allows later searching or an exchange request for future inventory
- Works best when the owner understands the expiration and booking rules
TTCA Ownership PathFinder™
Keep, rent, sell or exit?
Exchange can improve how an ownership is used, but it does not change the underlying loan, maintenance fees, assessments, or long-term ownership obligation.
If exchange value is part of a broader question about whether the ownership still fits, PathFinder can help organize the four main ownership paths.

North American Fees Reviewed September 2026
How 7Across Fees Affect the Exchange Value
7Across currently does not require a basic annual membership fee in North America, but a confirmed exchange is not free. The current disclosure lists separate Fix-It and Flex-It exchange pricing, optional Gold Advantage pricing, possible unit-size upgrade charges, and additional resort or destination costs.
Fix-It Exchange — $229
The lower-cost booking option is final and nonrefundable under the current terms. If the member cancels, amounts associated with the transaction can be forfeited, including the Deposit Credit and applicable fees.
Flex-It Exchange — $309
The higher-cost option can return eligible transaction amounts to the member’s account when the current cancellation process is followed at least 24 hours before check-in. Returned Deposit Credits retain their original expiration date.
- Basic membership: $0 required annual membership fee under the current North American disclosure.
- Gold Advantage: current North American initiation pricing is $105–$189 depending on tier and term.
- Unit-size upgrade: current North American disclosure lists $55 from a studio/hotel unit to one bedroom and $75 to two bedrooms or a larger unit when applicable.
- Destination costs: taxes, resort charges, utilities, parking, deposits, all-inclusive fees, and other property charges may still apply.
The value of 7Across depends on whether its available travel options fit the owner’s actual destinations, dates, and total trip budget.
Important Distinction
Exchange Weeks Are Not the Same as Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, or Hotels
Exchange Weeks
Exchange Weeks are the core deposited-value product. Eligible vacation time is deposited, a Deposit Credit is created, and that credit is used toward an available Exchange Week. The member still pays the applicable exchange fee and any required destination charges.
Bonus Weeks
Bonus Weeks are separately priced resort stays, commonly positioned around shorter booking windows. They can add travel flexibility, but a cash Bonus Week should be compared with a similar public booking rather than treated as proof of stronger exchange power.
Rental Weeks
Rental Weeks are vacation stays purchased with cash rather than a standard Deposit Credit exchange. They may be useful when an owner wants an additional trip or a different travel pattern, but the value calculation is a rental-price comparison.
Hotels
Hotel inventory provides another commercial booking path for shorter stays and destinations that may not have traditional timeshare inventory. The payment method, total price, cancellation rules, and included benefits should be evaluated separately.
Availability
What Actually Affects 7Across Availability?
Two owners can use the same exchange program and have very different experiences. The outcome depends on what each owner can deposit, what inventory enters the system, and how closely the member’s travel requirements match that inventory.
- Ownership eligibility: the exact vacation time must be accepted and verified.
- Date flexibility: broader travel windows create more chances to use available inventory.
- Destination flexibility: considering several regions or nearby resorts can materially widen the search.
- Unit flexibility: requiring one exact accommodation type can narrow available matches.
- Request timing: searching early and using an exchange request can expose options that are not immediately visible online.
- Actual deposits: resort directory presence does not mean the exact week or unit you want has entered the exchange pool.
The current North American terms also state that exchange requests are space-available and are not guaranteed to be fulfilled. That makes flexibility a practical advantage, not a promise of inventory.
Owner Fit
Who Is 7Across Most Likely to Fit?
May Fit Well If
- Your ownership is accepted and can be deposited
- You can travel across several dates or destinations
- You are comfortable using requests instead of relying only on instant inventory
- The complete confirmed trip cost compares well with other options
- You want 7Across as an additional exchange pathway rather than a guaranteed replacement for another system
May Fit Poorly If
- You need one exact high-demand resort, unit, or holiday week
- Your ownership cannot be verified or accepted for deposit
- The most attractive options you find require separate cash purchases
- Added fees and property charges erase the apparent savings
- You expect a resort directory to function like hotel inventory with immediate availability
A successful exchange matters most when it produces a vacation the owner actually values at a total cost that compares well with other travel options.
Owner Reviews
How Should You Interpret 7Across Reviews and Complaints?
Public review volume for 7Across is limited, so individual complaints should not be treated as representative of every member. As reviewed in September 2026, Trustpilot displayed a 2.0 TrustScore from 16 reviews and identified the company profile as unclaimed.
The small sample leans strongly negative, but the useful part of the reviews is not the headline score alone. It is the recurring areas where owners report friction.
Exchange availability
Some reviewers describe difficulty finding suitable exchanges after depositing vacation time, especially when they need specific locations, seasons, or dates.
Match timing and requests
Some complaints focus on receiving a match notification only to find that another member booked the inventory first. Current 7Across terms state that beginning in May 2025, members on a related waitlist may receive notification when matching inventory appears, with booking still handled on a space-available basis.
Optional costs and cancellation expectations
Other reviews question the value of Gold Advantage, credit extensions, exchange fees, and cancellation outcomes. These concerns make it especially important to understand the difference between Fix-It and Flex-It before confirming.
Service and underlying-resort issues
Some complaints involve support availability, resort conditions, or third-party sellers and promotional packages. Identify which company controlled the reservation, collected the payment, and was responsible for the disputed service before assuming every issue reflects the core 7Across exchange process.
Exchange Strategy
Can 7Across Be Used Alongside RCI or Interval International?
Yes, an owner may be able to maintain access to 7Across while also belonging to RCI, Interval International, or another exchange company. The systems remain separate, with their own deposits, inventory, fees, credits, and reservation rules.
The important restriction applies to the specific vacation time being used. One week, reservation, or annual use right cannot be committed to multiple exchange companies at the same time.
An owner with multiple independently usable weeks may have more than one exchange pathway available. An owner with a single annual week generally has to decide where that year’s eligible usage will be committed.
Before You Deposit
Turn the 7Across Review Into a Verification Process
Before committing vacation time, verify the exact ownership, likely travel pattern, and complete cost rather than relying on free membership or a resort directory alone.
- Confirm eligibility: verify the exact resort, ownership type, unit, season, use year, and reservation requirements.
- Understand the deposit: confirm when the week becomes committed and how long the resulting Deposit Credit remains usable.
- Test realistic searches: use several destinations, date ranges, and unit sizes that reflect how you actually travel.
- Separate exchange from cash inventory: know whether the stay uses a Deposit Credit or is a Bonus Week, Rental Week, or hotel purchase.
- Calculate total cost: include the allocated ownership cost, exchange fee, optional upgrades, taxes, resort charges, and mandatory property expenses.
- Compare cancellation options: understand what Fix-It and Flex-It protect, what is returned as a credit, and what can be forfeited.
Where does 7Across fit among the four broader ownership paths?
- Keep
- 7Across may improve the practical use of an ownership when the annual costs still make sense and an additional exchange pathway helps produce vacations you value.
- Rent
- Permitted rental of unused ownership may be a separate option, but cash-based 7Across Rental Weeks are not the same thing as renting out your own timeshare.
- Sell
- Resale may deserve consideration when exchange options no longer solve the ownership-fit problem and realistic buyer demand exists for the underlying interest.
- Exit
- An ownership-resolution path may deserve review when exchange utility no longer offsets the broader mismatch between use, annual costs, and the ongoing obligation.

My Take
I Would Use 7Across as an Additional Exchange Option, Not Assume It Replaces Every Other One
The lack of a basic annual membership fee makes 7Across relatively easy to investigate. But free access is not the same thing as useful exchange value. The value becomes real only when an eligible deposit turns into a vacation you actually want at a total cost that makes sense.
I would compare 7Across against the exchange access you already have and against a similar cash booking. I would also avoid depositing valuable vacation time simply because the resort directory looks attractive. Inventory, flexibility, fees, and the booking rules matter more than the size of the directory.
Frequently Asked Questions
7Across FAQ
Is 7Across free to join?
The current North American disclosure states that there is no required basic membership or annual fee. Exchange transactions, optional Gold Advantage, unit-size upgrades, resort charges, and other costs can still apply.
How does 7Across work?
Eligible owners can register and verify their ownership, use Search First or Bank and Save, deposit qualifying vacation time when required, receive a Deposit Credit, and use that credit toward an available Exchange Week.
Do I have to deposit a timeshare week before using 7Across?
A Deposit Credit is required for a traditional Exchange Week, but Search First lets a member investigate available inventory before completing the deposit process. Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, and hotel stays may follow separate cash-purchase rules.
How long does a 7Across Deposit Credit last?
Under the current North American terms, a standard Deposit Credit can generally be redeemed within three years of the date of deposit. Extensions or special credits may follow different rules.
What is the difference between Fix-It and Flex-It?
Fix-It is the lower-cost, more restrictive booking option and is generally final and nonrefundable. Flex-It costs more but can return eligible transaction amounts to the member’s account when the stated cancellation process is followed at least 24 hours before check-in.
Is Gold Advantage required to use 7Across?
No. Gold Advantage is optional. Current benefits can include priority exchange treatment, advance access to inventory, and discounts, but the owner should compare the added cost with how often those benefits are likely to matter.
Can I use 7Across if I also have RCI or Interval International?
Generally, yes. The exchange companies remain separate, and the same specific vacation period cannot be committed to multiple exchange companies at the same time.
TTCA Decision
7Across Can Add Exchange Flexibility, but Its Value Depends on What You Can Actually Deposit and Book
7Across gives eligible owners another independent exchange pathway and does not currently require a basic annual membership fee in North America.
That advantage matters only when the ownership can be accepted, useful Exchange Weeks become available, and the complete trip cost compares well with other options. Bonus Weeks, Rental Weeks, and hotels should be evaluated separately from deposited-value exchange inventory.
Treat 7Across as an exchange tool, not as a guarantee of better availability. Verify the deposit pathway, test realistic travel needs, understand the fee and cancellation rules, and compare the final trip with your other exchange and direct-booking options.
